    Information for Authors


The Biannual Journal of Contemporary Psychology is the official journal of the Iranian Psychological Association and publishes scientific papers in different fields of psychology. The aim of the Journal is to publish novel and original findings in psychology and to facilitate exchange of scientific information between researchers and thus strengthen the movement towards the production of science. Priority is given to original research articles. Authors should note that in submitting articles for publication, the following points are mandatory:

 

  • Title (in English and Persian): This should be short and must relate to the contents of the article.

  • Name and address of author (s): Name, address, affiliation, organization

  • Abstract: The abstract should contain no more than 200 words and must include the following information: aims and goals, method (sample, instruments, and statistical method), results, discussion and conclusions and three to five key words.

  • Introduction: This should include description of the problem, theoretical basis and research literature, research aims, research questions and/or hypotheses.

  • Method: a) population, sample, procedure (including design and methods for statistical analysis of results)

  •  b) Instruments

  • Results: Results of the findings together with necessary tables and graphs

  • Discussion: Examination and explanation of research findings, limitations and suggestions for further research.

  • References: References which have been used in the article should be organised in accordance with APA regulations.

  • In the case of qualitative, analytical and review articles, the order of the presentation will differ according to the nature of the article.

In addition to the above mentioned points, articles will be considered for publication according to the following conditions:

 

  • The article should not have been published in any other journal

  • The article should be typed using the latest version of Word computer software. The length of the article should be a maximum of 20 pages on A4 paper (18 lines per page).

  • One copy of the article should contain full name and address of the author (s) including postal and electronic addresses and telephone numbers and three copies of the article should be submitted without  personal details. The Journal will request a final copy of the article, together with a CD after necessary changes have been made.

  • The Biannual Journal of Contemporary Psychology reserves the right to reject, modify and edit all submitted articles for publication.

  • The author (s) of articles are responsible for the scientific content of articles.

  • Articles will not be returned.
